Church isn't just about singing and listening to talks on a Sunday - it is also about joining together to serve God. As a church we want to welcome those who are searching for meaning in life and looking for God. Another priority is to serve the community around us - particularly those in need. These things can only happen as everyone in the church lends a hand. Getting involved with different service in the church gives us a sense of belonging and fulfillment. More importantly we are following Jesus' example. He came not to be served but to serve...
Our Sunday services are a really important part of what we do as a church.
They are an opportunity to worship God together, to receive teaching from His word and to pray for one another. These services wouldn't happen without a committed team of people serving each week. There are teams who set up the venue, others that serve coffee, still more that run church for the children... We recommend that everyone who wants to make this church their home gets stuck in to some kind of Sunday service ministry. Its a great way to meet new people and to feel part of what goes on at Riverside...

We believe that one of the main reasons we are here as a church is to serve the community around us.
The Bible paints a picture of a God who is outward looking and we want to reflect that in our work. You will find lots of opportunities to serve - we want to help as many people as we can to start to do the things that God is calling them to do. These projects only happen because committed people from Riverside are willing to put in time to make them a reality.
